The principle of transit time difference utilizes that the time of flight of the ultrasonic signal is affected by the velocity of the carrier medium.

TF1100-EC non-invasive water flow sensor ultrasonic flowmeter is a high-precision flowmeter that uses ultrasonic to measure the flow of liquid-filled pipelines. It uses the principle of ultrasonic time difference. This method has high accuracy and good numerical stability.

The clamp-on ultrasonic flow sensors are mounted on the external surface of the pipe for non-invasive and non-intrusive flow measurement of liquid and liquefied gasses in fully filled pipe. Three pairs of transducers are sufficient to cover the most common pipe diameter ranges.
